Beauty Buzz: Ricky & Nicki Viva Glam Campaign Reveal

Oooh chile!  I am so amped about this for some reason.  As first reported here MAC has selected Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin to be the next faces of the Viva Glam Campaign.  Well fresh off the presses are images shot for the launch.  Check it out, check it out:

The image was shot by famed photographer David LaChapelle.  In keeping with MAC's philanthropic efforts on the fight against HIV & AIDS, every cent of the sales from this product launch goes to support the MAC AIDS Fund.  Look for the products to be on counter in February 2012.

The next MAC Viva Glam!

So over on Twitter the buzz for us beauty babes and boys is that Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin are the latest celebs to bless the brand with their image for the MAC Viva Glam campaign!!!  The two are on a set in Miami today shooting the campaign with famed photographer David La Chappelle.

Both celebs are buzz creators in their own right - they both get us moving and have an image that is immediately recognized the world over.  Nicki is no stranger to the cosmetics giant, having worked with MAC for the release of the limited edition lipstick shade - 'Pink Friday' which had fans of the brand and the babe camping out at their computers each Friday for 4 weeks to snag their own tube, myself included!

The Viva Glam campaign donates every cent from the sale of a Viva Glam lipstick to the MAC AIDS Fund.  The campaign launched in 1994 and since then has featured such celebrity power as RuPaul, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige, K.D. Lang and most recently Lady Gaga with 'Live With Passion. Love With Protection.'  To date the fund has raised $224 Million.
