FOTD-Welcome Spring Fever!

Kia challenged a few of us to come up with looks that followed a theme of Spring.  Though the temps are currently not in tune with what the calendar dictates as the start of the season that doesnt mean we should still suffer through the winter doldrums. 

For those that dont know it is a standing tradition that around this time of year the D.C. area celebrates the blooming of the cherry blossoms.  A gift to the city of Washington D.C. by Japan in 1912.  It is estimated that each year over 700,000 tourists visit the area to admire the beauty of the blooms.  As a Spring baby myself I couldnt think of a better way to commemorate this time of year than by using the splendor of the cherry blossom as inspiration for my Spring FOTD.

 Seems I got a bit carried away with the pics...oh and I changed my lip midway into the shoot...anyway on to the deets!

Cocktails and Couture *pic heavy*

So as you may already know the trip I made to NY last month was to attend the beauty and fashion tweet-up created by fellow beauty maven and social media aficionado Lianne Farbes, called Cocktails and Couture. This was my first time in attendance and I had a ball!  Below are some pics from the event.

I went with the 'Blue Crush' and need to re-create it at home ASAP!

and then I won a raffle prize!!!!

 A great time was had by all in attendance I am sure.  Thanks to Lianne for a wonderful event as always!  We ended the night at Dallas BBQ in Times Square-a staple hangout place of my college years at F.I.T.

Diary of a beauty blogger: Road Trippin!

NYFW is well underway and while this time i will not be attending any shows i am making my way to New York with Kia (yummy411.blogspot.com) and Nikkia (silverlipsbeauty.com) to attend Cocktails and Couture (www.cocktailsandcouture.net)

A networking event for beauty and fashion bloggers, this is going to be an amazing experience. Some of the top beauty brands will be represented at this tweetup hosted and created by the digital media dynamo Lianne Farbes (www.liannefarbes.com). I am really looking forward to visiting my birthplace again. Its been quite some time since i was there last...

I am no longer #teamblackberry and oficially #teamdroid now so i will be doing my best to blog along the way with my new fancy Tmobile G2. I cant think of a better way to break the device in.

I will try to get some lip looks in as well...i didnt forget, i promise. See you guys soon!
